    Peter Drucker’s “If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old” quote is probably the hardest for most companies to implement. It’s so easy to just rest on your laurels and cash checks from a product or service that has worked for years.

    Seth Godin has said something similar on this topic. I’m paraphrasing, but he said something to the effect of, “You have to kill the cash cow to innovate.” This is very difficult to actually do, but critical for companies to continue to innovate and change as the world changes.
