Sept 3-5th Palo Alto software was a platinum sponsor for the ASBDC annual conference which was held in Chicago this year. As always we had a great time supporting the ASBDC and all the SBDC counselors who work hard to help America’s small businesses succeed. We had the pleasure of teaming up with John Jantsch this year and introducing our new Marketing Plan Pro, powered by Duct Tape Marketing.  It was a rousing success, and people were very quick to crowd our booth, giving lots of compliments and support for our software and tools. As the CEO of Palo Alto Software, I have missed the last two conferences due to scheduling issues. I was so happy to make an appearance there this time, and to have an opportunity to do a 90-minute Business Plan Pro training for SBDC counselors.

For all of you reading this post who are saying “ASBDC? SBDC counselors? Who are they?” then I encourage you to check out their website, and find out where your local office is. The SBDCs are partially funded by the SBA (Small Business Administration) and have a federal mandate to help America’s small businesses. They can give you free advice, support, and help and they offer great workshops and classes for small-business owners. If you are starting a business, or running a small business, you should at least be aware of how they can provide support to your company.
