Seems like a dumb idea to even talk about the value of the U.S. Small Business Administration which has been the cornerstone of the federal government’s dealings with small business since 1953. Still, those of us who defend the SBA — and that includes me, without question — should at least read this:

Of course in the meantime, on Thursday the House of Representatives approved SBA funding of $582 million, which the NYTimes said is supposedly $100 million more than what the Bush administration asked for.
